Today is Tom’s birthday. When he was a child, he always wanted to keep a pet. But his mom always said that he was too young to take good care of pets. Now, Tom is ten years old. Keeping a dog is Tom’s dream.
In the morning, Tom was waked up by voice downstairs. When he walked downstairs, he found that the house was decorated by lots of cakes and presents. He was so happy that he hug his parents. His mom told him to open the presents. The first present was clothing. The second one was a toy. Then, when he opened the last present, he found that the box was moving. To his surprise, that was a dog! Tom’s mom told him that he should take good care of it. Tom promised his mom and went to the park to walk the dog.
When he arrived at the park, Tom wanted to go to the bathroom, so he leashed his dog on the bench. When he came back, the dog was missing! He was so anxious that he went here and there to find his pet. But it was disappointing. Tom’s dog was gone. He was sadly sitting on the bench and waited for his dog to come back. He longed to see his dog again. As time went by, his dog still didn’t appear. Tom cried out loud and went back home with a broken heart.
To his amazement, he saw his dog sitting in front of the door and shook its tail when he got home. Tom stopped crying and then rushed into his dog and gave it a big hug. He promised it he wouldn’t stay it alone again.
